Candidates who do not meet the ECEAP qualifications would need to be on a Professional Development Plan (PDP) to meet these qualifications within five (5) years of hire in role. Working experience in ECEAP or Head Start Programs - PREFERRED Completion of two years or more of direct preschool teaching work experience within the past five years. PREFERRED Valid driver's license and have reliable transportation and required auto insurance. Ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of all children including at risk, special needs, gifted, and culturally diverse populations. Ability to apply Early Childhood Development theory in daily classroom activities, and adapt to the individual needs of children. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills, ability to work very closely with other team members, ability to grasp a team-centered approach to delivery of services for children and families Bilingual (English/Spanish) - PREFERRED Have current First Aid/CPR card, Food Handler's card and HIV Certificate or be willing to obtain within 60 days of employment.
