**Position Purpose:** The Distribution Center Associate supports daily warehouse operations in a high‑volume distribution center. This role is responsible for accurately picking, packing, assembling, and handling materials to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. **Essential Functions:** **Order Picking & Packing** - Pick customer orders using RF scanners, pick tickets, or warehouse management systems (WMS) - Accurately pack orders to company specifications, ensuring product protection and correct labeling - Meet or exceed productivity, accuracy, and quality metrics in a fast‑paced environment **Material Handling** - Load, unload, move, and stage inventory throughout the distribution center - Safely handle materials using fork trucks (forklifts), pallet jacks, carts, conveyors, and other warehouse equipment - Operate material handling equipment in accordance with safety policies and training requirements - Maintain organized work areas and properly store inventory in assigned locations **Assembly** - Perform light assembly and labeling of products per work instructions - Assemble cartons, display units, or product components as required for outbound shipments - Ensure assembled products meet quality and packaging standards **Quality & Safety** - Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company policies - Identify and report damaged inventory, equipment issues, or safety hazards - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (5S practices) **Team & Operational Support** - Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet daily volume goals - Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and replenishment as needed - Support cross‑training across multiple functions within the distribution center **Education and Training:** - High School Diploma or GED **Minimum Qualifications:** - Previous warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment center experience - Experience with RF scanners, WMS, or production metrics - Material handling equipment experience (pallet jack, forklift – certification a plus) - Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions; - Ability to work under pressure and adhere to schedules; - Ability to work safely and keep area clean; - Demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of the organization; - Good verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills; - Able to communicate clearly, concisely and achieve intended objectives; - Ability to work assigned shift and remain awake and alert during assigned shift is required; - Reporting to work for assigned shift, maintaining a physical presence and performing assigned work for the duration of assigned shift is required; **Physical Demands:** - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
